2016 Augusta Photography Festival Exhibition (M)
The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta (AHC) is excited to welcome the finalists in the Augusta Photography Festival, starting October 7 through November 4, 2016. Approximately 120 images will be on display in the Main Gallery, chosen from over 700 that were submitted. A reception announcing the winners for each category is on Sunday, October 30 from 3 to 5 pm. More than $4,000 in prizes will be awarded. This event is free and open to the public. The Augusta Photography Festival, a biennial community-wide celebration of photography, unfolds over ten days from October 21 through October 30. More than forty activities, from exhibits to workshops, field trips, photo walks and special events will be presented at locations around the CSRA. Kicking off this year’s festival is a keynote presentation by Eddie Tapp entitled “Seeing Eye to Eye.” Tapp, a Canon Explorer of Light and Photoshop Hall of Fame Inductee, speaks Friday, October 21 at the Snelling Center. The Festival committee has planned an impressive array of more than two dozen workshops, expert review panels for photographers from beginners to advanced. Topics range from Introduction to Digital Cameras to High Dynamic Range Photography, studio lighting, and wedding, landscape, and tabletop photography.
