(M) Christmas in the Backcountry + Christmas for the Birds
Two popular events at the Living History Park will be combined this year; Christmas in the Backcountry and Christmas for the Birds. Both events will be held at the Living History Park after Thanksgiving on Saturday, Nov. 25th.
Come visit with the townsfolk of Willow Springs as they prepare for the holidays. The Village will awaken at 10 am to a period representation from our area’s past. Baked Goods (including hot cocoa) are available for purchase at the Sweet Shoppe, the Tavern, and the Mercantile. From 11 am to 2 pm, children can decorate pinecones and popcorn garlands to feed our feathery friends at the park. Father Christmas will join us at the Meeting House on Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm to talk with the children.
This is the perfect opportunity to start your own holiday season by escaping the hustle and bustle of our over-the-top traditions and enjoying a peaceful stroll through history. This a free event but donations are greatly appreciated.
Please share your holiday spirit with local pet shelters by bringing pet food donations to the event.
The North Augusta Living History Park is located at 299 W. Spring Grove Avenue, North August SC. Check out our website at colonialtimes.us for more information about the Park and its events. All buildings close at 4 pm on Saturday.”
