(M) Getting a Business Loan

At some point, your business may need financing. This SCORE workshop will give you the background you need in order to apply for a loan from one of the many financing programs available in the CSRA.

Brent Hoover, business consultant for the SC Small Business Development Center (SBDC), will discuss the application process and requirements. A formal business plan, complete with business financials and income projections, forms the basis for the application. Several government programs work with local banks to help guarantee loans, and you may qualify for one of them.

Kevin Price, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for Security Federal Bank, will discuss loan programs that are available. Security Federal is an Accredited Lender of the SBA. Once you submit your loan application and business plan, a Loan Officer like Kevin will review it and guide the decision making process.
