(M) Stephen "Saxee" Smith

Stephen "Saxee" Smith has over 20 years of musical experience. He has performed with several professional artists such as Keke Wyatt, Wycliffe Gordon, Ledisi, Leon Bates, Poncho Sanchez, Steve Turre, and several others.

Stephen originally started playing violin in 3rd grade, before moving to the saxophone in 4th grade. Stephen has performed with several bands in the Dayton, Atlanta, and Augusta areas, as well as many venues across the country. He is the co-founder of the band, Vibesody, and was voted Best of Augusta by Augusta Magazine in 2018 and 2019.

In his freetime he enjoys shooting pool, traveling, going to live shows, reading, sports, taking care of animals, and helping young people. Stephen attended Alabama State University, where he majored in Biology, and was a member of the Mighty Marching Hornets Band. Stephen has recorded several singles, and currently, he is working on his 1st solo album. 

He along with his wife, Ashley, currently live in Augusta, GA.

We have a two (2) item minimum food and/or beverage purchase per person in place. A $10 charge will be applied only where no food or beverage has been purchased.

Vibes and Vines Jazz Lounge is a mature, adult only venue. A dressy attire is required. Athletic wear, ball caps or Do-rag, tennis shoes/sneakers, cut-off shirt or shorts, hoodies, ripped, frayed, tattered or sagging pants are NOT permitted.
