Legislative Update: SC Workforce Development Act

CHARLES APPLEBY...Charles is an experienced strategic and legal advisor with almost twenty years’ experience in the private and public sectors. In his last role, the National Legislative Program Evaluation Society recognized the work of a committee he helped develop for public policy changes, program improvements, and dollar savings, every year from 2018 through 2022. In February 2023, Charles was jointly hired by the Department of Employment and Workforce, Department of Commerce, Department of Education, State Technical College System, and Commission on Higher Education to serve as the Senior Advisor for the Coordinating Council for Workforce Development.
ROBERT DAVIS...Robert is a professional with over ten years of experience in economic development, research and workforce development. With a background in furthering South Carolina’s economy and workforce, Robert currently serves as the Senior Analyst for the Coordinating Council for Workforce Development. In his career he has worked in export assistance, micro-enterprise consulting and economic development research.
