Power Lunch - Preparing Students for Post-Secondary Industry Opportunities
Our culture's emphasis on going to college puts many students at a disadvantage when they try and some eventually drop out, resulting in them feeling like failures. Why? Because it was not the right place for them to start with.
Many teens and young adults are skilled at working with their hands and would do well in jobs that did not require them to sit behind a desk. Parents who understand theirs son or daughter's interest should encourage career options aside from immediately attending college.
This panel discussion is an opportunity to hear from industry representatives the resilience, long term advantages, and financial benefits of trade work.
