Measuring the Effectiveness of Your Website, Facebook, and Online Advertising 

You spend time, energy, and $$ maintaining your website and/or Facebook page. In this workshop you will learn how to gauge the effectiveness of each of these. Would it pay to advertise in Google or on Facebook? This workshop will help you determine the best way to spend your resources.

Google Analytics provides extensive statistics that answer questions like:

• Who visits my website? What are their demographics (age, income, location, etc.)
• Where are they coming from, and how did they find me? If by search, what search terms did they use?
• What time of day do they visit? How long do they stay on the site?
• Which pages do they visit? What are they most interested in?

Once you understand your audience, you may want to pay for Google AdWords to attract more of them. This workshop will help you understand how AdWords work, how to control where they appear, and how to analyze whether they are an effective use of your funds.

Facebook provides extensive statistics as well, and you can use them to understand your Likes and Followers. Since posts on a Facebook business page are shown on only a small percentage of your Likes' timelines, Facebook offers to "boost" them to more of your Likes, for a fee. Is it worth it? Would you be better off creating Facebook Ads and targeting where they appear?
