Security Federal Bank Introduces $uper $avings — A Fresh New Look for a Longtime Kids Program
If you grew up in the CSRA, chances are you remember the Looney Tunes Kids Account at Security Federal Bank. For decades, it’s been a fun first step into banking for local kids. Now, the beloved program has a fresh new look — and a brand-new mascot — as it rebrands to $uper $avings!
The $uper $avings Bunny is here to make saving money fun for kids 11 and under. He’s bright, cheerful, and dressed for every season — and he has all kinds of promotions going on throughout the rest of the year! The $uper $avings Club keeps the fun going year-round with seasonal promotions, contests, and rewards designed to encourage consistent saving habits.
Right now, he needs a name! From now through September 12, 2025, kids can stop by any of SFB’s 19 branches, pick up a coloring sheet, and submit their best name idea. The winning entry will earn a $150 deposit into their $uper $avings account.
The $uper $avings program is all about teaching financial responsibility from an early age. Features include:
- $5 to open (SFB adds $1 to the opening deposit)
- No monthly service charge or minimum balance
- Competitive interest on the entire balance
- In-school bank branches at participating elementary schools
- Free mobile app with deposit feature
“Our youth savings program has helped generations of local kids start strong with smart saving habits,” said Phil Wahl, President at Security Federal Bank. “The $uper $avings Bunny adds a fun, personalized touch to a program that’s still built on the same values.”
About Security Federal Bank
Since 1922, Security Federal Bank has proudly served our community as a locally owned and operated bank — a distinction that truly sets us apart. With over a century of history in Aiken and the surrounding region, we’re not just in the community — we’re part of it.
At Security Federal, banking is personal. We know our customers by name, and they know us by ours. Whether it’s helping a family buy their first home, guiding a local business through growth, or offering free financial counseling to someone looking to get back on track, we go beyond transactions to build lasting relationships. You’ll find us in local schools, at community events, and at festivals — not just as sponsors, but as neighbors and volunteers.
We are proud to continue Banking ON Community. For more information on the $uper $avings Account or to participate in the Name the Bunny contest, visit any Security Federal Bank branch, call 1.866.851.3000, or go to SecurityFederalBank.com.
